The Challenge: Creating a multicultural identity rooted in flavor, memory, and belonging
Mouttet is a bakery born from the story of a Paisa entrepreneur with French roots, who came to us in search of a name and a visual identity that could express both her heritage and her love for Colombia. The goal was to reflect authenticity and warmth while honoring artisanal techniques and emotional storytelling.
We needed to craft a brand that would feel grounded in tradition, yet open and relatable to a local Colombian audience.
The Solution: A typographic system that carries heritage and local flavor
The name Mouttet pays homage to the founder’s French roots, while the branding opens the door to everyday expressions of culture and community.
We designed a custom logotype with classic typographic elegance to evoke craftsmanship and authenticity. As a visual twist, we introduced the parenthesis symbol as an active connector across the identity, framing products, phrases, and emotions. It becomes a subtle bridge between French precision and Colombian warmth.
We also created a set of local expressions and colloquialisms used across packaging and social content. These short phrases spark recognition and emotional connection, evoking the joy and nostalgia of eating something “bien rico” at home.
The overall system combines editorial simplicity with cultural detail, letting the product and the story shine through.
